Why We Built This Site
Colorado court access begins with the court that holds the file. In Summit County, the Clerk of Court at Summit Combined Courts maintains District Court and County Court records at one Justice Center, but municipal clerks retain town-code and municipal-ticket files. The free Judicial Branch daily docket shows settings, CoCourts provides paid statewide electronic case data, and the clerk supplies a Register of Action or filed document through the official request process. This site brings those distinct routes, office contacts, and limits into one clear reference without treating any third-party index as the official record.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: ways to search and read Summit County criminal dockets and civil dockets
- Case lookups: the roles of the free daily docket, paid CoCourts search, and clerk-issued Register of Action
- Court dates: how to read the court calendar and confirm a reset with the proper clerk
- Record requests: how to seek court records, filed documents, and certified copies from their custodians
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Colorado court, clerk, town, county, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk responsible for the case can issue an official or certified record. Summit Combined Courts and the municipal clerks are separate custodians.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their own services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this free reference resource. Summit County Court Docket does not set those charges, maintain the provider's data, or certify a result. Confirm any case detail with the Colorado or municipal clerk that holds the source record.
